Anodizing is a process that enhances the natural oxide layer on aluminum. By placing the aluminum in an acid bath and passing an electric current through it, we create a thicker and more durable oxide layer.

Why choose
anodized aluminum? First, it's incredibly durable, with a hard coating that resists wear and tear. Second, it offers superior corrosion resistance, making it perfect for tough environments. Third, anodizing adds aesthetic value, allowing for a variety of finishes and colors to enhance the look of the material. Plus, anodized aluminum is non-toxic and heat-resistant, meeting strict industry standards.

Anodizing not only protects and extends the life of aluminum products but also pushes the boundaries of material innovation.

Our Anodizing Solutions

We offer a range of anodizing services designed to meet your specific needs. Our expert solutions ensure your aluminum parts are durable, visually appealing, and high-performing.

Pre-Clean Operations

Thorough surface preparation is essential to ensure coating adhesion and consistent finishes. Our pre-clean operations include:

  • Degreasing/Cleaning – Eliminates oils and contaminants that could interfere with anodizing quality.
  • Bright Dip – A chemical polishing treatment using phosphoric and nitric acids to create a smooth, high-luster surface. Especially valuable for bulk anodizing and parts where aesthetics matter. Learn more about Bright Dip Anodizing.
  • Chemical Etching – Used to even out the surface finish or achieve a matte texture depending on alloy and final application needs.

These treatments ensure optimal base conditions for both decorative and performance-focused anodizing finishes.

Masking

Our precision masking services provide consistent protection for parts with critical surfaces that must remain free from anodizing. We isolate threads, mating surfaces, electrical contacts, and high-tolerance areas using specialized tapes, plugs, and paints—preserving functional integrity and design intent. Common benefits include:

  • Protection of tight-tolerance or electrical contact zones
  • Prevention of coating buildup in threaded or machined areas
  • Isolation of areas for biocompatibility, aesthetics, or conductivity
  • Support for multi-step finishing or post-processing operations

We tailor every masking process to your exact specifications and conduct full inspection after anodizing to ensure effectiveness.
